The History and Development of Juegos de Mario Games

Mario is one of the most popular and globally recognized characters in pop media. His trademark appearance evolved along with the technological advancement of video game technology. The Mario games published by Nintendo are one of the most successful gaming series franchises in the history of video games. Mario is an internationally recognized character that has become nearly synonymous with video gaming itself. For example juegos de Mario (or Mario games in Spanish) are the top searched for Spanish language game. Any illustration depicting family friendly gaming usually has Mario right in the middle of it all, one fist raised in triumph and joyous smile beneath his floppy mustache. But have you ever wonder why he has become so popular? Or why he is a plumber for that matter?

Well part of his popularity is the sheer number of games Mario has been featured in. Every new system Nintendo puts out has some of his games included, often times with some new variation or a completely new version. The number of people therefore exposed to Mario and his adventures makes him popular by default. Nintendo has never been interested in retiring his characters so he has had games in constant publication and availability since he was first conceived. This huge and continuous supply of adventures has made him popular for generations of gamers.

Mario owes his trademark physical appearance to the graphical limitations imposed by the gaming systems when his character was designed. He was originally designed way back in 1981. To make him easier to recognize on the primitive systems of the day Nintendo decided to give him bright blue overalls and a bright red shirt. Depicting hair in a satisfactory manner was beyond the technical capabilities of the time. His red hat was added to make it easier to animate him while running and jumping.

To make him appear more human like they added a large nose to his face. While this did make Mario look sort of humanoid the designers were not able to add a mouth under the nose with the limited pixels available. So, instead they added a large, bushy mustache. This resulted in an overall Italian archetype looking character for the game Super Mario. To make him more accessible to the average gamer Nintendo choose to assign him a working class occupation. That also fit in nicely with the decision to make him wear blue workman?s overalls.

The first game he appeared in, Donkey Kong, he was cast as a carpenter. Donkey Kong was set in a construction site so it made sense that the workman protagonist would be builder. In his next in game appearance for Mario Bros the game was set in an underground sewer like environment. At this point his occupation was changed to a hard working and industrious plumber. Mario Bros was also deep beneath the streets of New York, so Mario and his brother Luigi became of Italian American heritage.

As gaming graphics technology improved so did the details of Mario?s appearance. He eventually sported golden buttons to hold up the suspender straps of his workman?s blue overalls. His cap was emblazoned with the letter M. His appearance in contemporary juegos de Mario includes details like eyebrows and blue eyes.

There seems to be no end to the exciting adventures of this resourceful video game hero. Mario is destined to continue to be one of the most beloved and recognized international icons for the rest of the 21st century.

White Collar Season Finale Review (Spoiler)

The White Collar Season Finale "Under the Radar" Review- Please Rate and Comment!!!The White Collar Season Finale was true to form, a heart-wrenching thriller with a cliff- hanger that leaves you begging for more. The season wraps up with Neal and Peter hot on the heels of Vincent Adler, the man responsible for Kate?s death. Mozzie has finished creating the fractal, but cannot seem to get a correct reading. In order to narrow down the search, they pursue their only lead, Alex Hunter. However, Alex is missing and the group quickly finds out that Adler is responsible. While retracing Alex?s steps, Neal and Peter are kidnapped by Adler and taking to an old warehouse which houses the WWII sub that the group has been search for all season. Adler explains that the ship is rigged with bombs. Neal and Peter are ordered to disarm the ship, and with a little help from Alex, succeed. Inside the ship they find an art collection worth billions, spoils collected by the Nazi?s. Vincent instructs his men to get rid of the three, but thankfully Neal grabs the fractal before they are forced to leave the ship. Facing death once again, they are put into a dry dock, bound hand and foot, with water filling up fast. Alex saves the day after Neal removes the hidden knife from her person, but they still have to get past the armed guards.

In the last episode things got hot between Neal and Sara and it appears that their romance may continue. When Neal misses his date, Sara and Mozzie begin to worry. The rest of the group begin searching the city for Neal and Peter and thanks to the fractal?s radio signal, they find them just in time. They quickly arrange a sting and go to the warehouse full force. Neal is left behind, and begins searching the other warehouses only to be put in front of Vincent?s gun. Their conversation is interrupted when the building next to them begins exploding. Neal keeps Adler from running into the burning building only to have Vincent turn on him with every intention of killing Neal. Peter?s shot from behind kills Adler just in time.

Of course we had to be left hanging for the final episode and this season finale was no disappointment. Peter watches, as a piece of the burning building falls at his feet. The charred paper is from a painting that Neal had in his apartment, and Peter, realizing what Neal did, is quick to call him on it. Neal replies to Peter, "You think I did this? Prove it."

Neal walks away from Peter leaving us to wonder if Neal really did steal the collection. Back at Neal?s apartment, a key and an address lead Neal to a warehouse room filled with the entire collection from the U-boat. A smile spreads over Neal?s face as he stands in the middle room, taking in the glorious site of all that he had been searching for and the reason for Kate?s death. Now the question we must ask is did Neal really turn on Peter? Has Neal gone back to his con man ways or has Peter?s influence changed him and will Neal and Peter ever trust each other again? All these questions and more will be answer this summer on the USA Network.

Popular Cartoons of the 90s

Popular Cartoons of the 90sThe concept of cartoons among those who grew up in the 90s and those who watch cartoons now is very different. Anyone who has enjoyed the amazing cartoon shows that were aired in the 90s would definitely agree that it is relatively difficult to relate to the cartoons that are aired in today?s time, unless they are a continuation of what we watched in the 90s. Even then, some viewers complain of the waning quality of the cartoons, in terms of their content, as they progress. Whatever the case may be, it is just lovely to reminisce about watching the wonderful cartoons we did while growing up. Whether it was during weekends, squeezing in a show during study break or a show we looked forward to watching right after returning home from school, there is no arguing that these cartoons were some of the best of our times, and are those that we can easily relate to, no matter how old we grow. Just to bring back those old days, here?s a compilation of some of the most popular cartoons of the 90s.

The Golden Age of Cartoons: The 1990s

Viewers have called the 90s the golden age of cartoons, and with reason. With these cartoons veering into different areas such as satire and dark humor, there was always something new to look forward to, masked under the humor that each show represented. To revive the newness that each show brought with it, we discuss some of the best cartoons of the 90s (in no specific order).

The Simpsons (1989 - Present)

Homer: I?m normally not a praying man, but if you?re up there, please save me, Superman.

Yes, The Simpsons did begin in 1989 but in December, so we have taken the liberty to include it in the most popular cartoons of the 90s. A satire on the American way of living, the Simpsons made waves in the 90s though now its popularity has slightly waned. With the lazy and feeble-minded Homer, the sophisticated Marge, the always-getting-into-trouble Bart, the intelligent-vegetarian Lisa, and the cute little Maggie, the Simpsons have always provided 100% entertainment as the longest running cartoon series on television.

Beavis and Butt-head (1993 - 1997)

Beavis: They should have a name for this kinda of music.
Butt-head: They already do, Beavis: crap.

Centered on two teenage boys Beavis and Butt-head, the show featured their rude, dimwitted, but instinctive nature in dealing with others, which often ended up being extremely hilarious. With their love for rock-metal, Beavis and Butt-head became one of the most popular cartoons of the 90s and the show is still deeply missed by those who caught it regularly!

Pinky and the Brain (1995 - 2001)

Pinky: Gee, Brain, what do you want to do tonight?
Brain: The same thing we do every night, Pinky - try to take over the world!

Their occasional presence in the Animaniacs soon earned them their own show. Featuring two laboratory mice that were genetically enhanced, Pinky and the Brain was all about the sharp and intelligent Brain?s plans toward taking over the world, while because of Pinky?s lack of intelligence, or the extraordinary nature of the plan, it always ended in disaster toward the end of the show.

South Park (1997 - Present)

Stan: You know, somebody once said, "Don?t try to be a great man, just be a man.
Jesus: Who said that?
Stan: You did, Jesus.
Jesus: You?re right, Stan. Thank you, boys!
Kyle: Wow, did he say that in the Bible?
Stan: Nah, I saw it on Star Trek

Another very popular animated series of the nineties, South Park features four third-graders Stan, Kyle, Kenny, and Cartman, who use the crudest language to put across a message to their audiences in a humorous manner. Intended for a niche audience due to its dark humor, South Park soon became extremely popular across a variety of audiences, and is still a favorite among many.

Batman: The Animated Series (1992 - 1995)

I am vengeance! I am the night! I AM BATMAN! ~Batman

Having been adapted from the comic book to a cartoon, Batman: The Animated Series turned out to be so popular that it won an Emmy award in the category of Outstanding Animated Program. Batman was intended for an adult audience as it showcased violence and blood-shed. However, its popularity soared across all age groups, and Batman even received critical acclaim for its sophisticated concept.

Animaniacs (1993 - 1998)

Yakko Warner: We protest you calling us "little kids". We prefer to be called "vertically-impaired pre-adults".

Presented by Steven Spielberg, Animaniacs primarily featured good old slapstick comedy. Featuring Yakko, Wakko, and Dot Warner, three cartoon stars of the 1930s, the show revolved around them being trapped in the Warner Bros. water tower up until the 1990s when they managed to escape. The show featured their interaction between the famous persons from the past, and other characters from modern television. A light cartoon show with simple humor, Animaniacs can definitely be mentioned in this list of the most popular cartoons of the 90s.

Dexter?s Laboratory (1996 - 2003)

Dexter: Dee Dee, how long have we known each other? Our whole lives, you say? No, in truth? Never? Or should I say, you never knew me? Because if you did, you would know I am a soul who requires peace, quiet and, most importantly, solitude. But every day, that solitude is inevitably broken by *you*.

A unique show featuring the child-genius Dexter and his secret laboratory in his home, Dexter's Laboratory won the hearts of all its viewers. Of course, the show was absolutely incomplete without Dee Dee, his annoying older sister who somehow found her way into the lab, no matter how hard he tried to keep her out. Based primarily on his efforts on ousting his sister from the lab, Dexter, with his unique accent reminiscent of scientists of older times, is one of the most famous cartoon characters of the 90s.

Rugrats (1991 - 2004)

Chuckie: So, we got a baby now.
Lillian 'Lil' DeVille: I wished we'd talked about it first. I don't know if I'm ready.

Communicating with each other through baby-speak that was translated for the convenience of viewers, Rugrats was a much loved cartoon show based on 4 toddlers, Thomas Pickles (Tommy), Charles Finster (Chuckie), and twins Phillip (Phil) and Lillian (Lil) DeVille who ventured into the different areas of their house, used their imagination to make their expeditions adventurous, and dealt with different challenges such as their cousin Angelica who could understand the language of both, the adults and the toddlers, and used it to her advantage to get them into trouble.

Rocko's Modern Life (1993 - 1996)

Rocko: If this marriage is going to break up our friendship, I'd rather be deported!

Based on the life of a wallaby, Rocko, who has migrated from Australia to America, Rocko?s Modern Life is all about his adaptation to life in America with his other animal friends. It is believed that the show had a lot of sexual innuendos and was written by a man who had not kept any specific niche in mind when writing the series, which was originally a comic book. Though it had a short run on television, Rocko?s modern life has made it to the list of one of the many popular animated shows of the 90s.

Tiny Toon Adventures (1990 - 1995)

Babs: I'm tired of dating silly, immature little boys. I'd like to meet a sophisticated older guy with a special affinity for rabbits.

The predecessor to Animaniacs by Steven Spielberg, Tiny Toon Adventures features tiny versions of Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, Elmer Fudd, and Sylvester the cat. Though the premise of the show was based on the characters learning how to be funny at Acme Looniversity, the school was not featured on every show. It did however feature the classic Warner Bros. slapstick comedy. Since it was an offset of the popular Looney Tunes of the 60s, it was unfailingly followed by kids and adults alike who enjoyed the adventures the characters on the show regularly embarked upon. It even won two Daytime Emmy Awards in the category of Outstanding Animated Program!

Special Mention

The aforementioned list, though includes some very popular cartoons from the 90s, is incomplete without a special mention to several others that made their way into the hearts of animated show lovers in the 90s. So here?s a look into some more of the many cartoons (in no specific order) that we have all loved and grown up watching. Mel Gibson Pleads No Contest to Battery Charge, Gets Probation

Mel Gibson entered a plea of no contest in his domestic violence case, and will have a three year probationary period.Mel Gibson, in the news for all the wrong reasons over the past several years, entered a plea of no contest last Friday in his domestic violence case, resulting in no jail time and no admission that he did anything wrong. The 55-year-old actor and director was facing a misdemeanor battery charge and received three years probation in return for his plea. His sentence also includes a year of mandatory counseling and 16 hours of community service, as well as some fines. Noted defense attorney Blair Berk, "The District Attorney?s office in this case has agreed that resolving this matter does not require that Mr. Gibson say he?s guilty but may maintain his innocence, and does so now."

Berk added that Gibson was "entering this plea because it?s in the best interest of his children." While Gibson was less than professional during the hearing, apparently rolling his eyes at some points, it seems he likely got off lightly for his alleged transgressions. Noted Deputy District Attorney John Lynch in describing why the plea deal was offered: "There would have been a minor required to testify in the case, and it?s always traumatic for a minor to have to go through a court testimony. And the bottom line is that had we gone through a trial, given Mr. Gibson?s record, the sentence would not have been significantly different."

Added Lynch, "We got pretty much what we wanted and more importantly, we got what the victim wanted. She said on many occasions that she really didn?t want to see him go to jail. What she really wanted him to do was get into counseling." In the event that Gibson violates the terms of his probation, he would face up to a year in a local county jail.

Scariest Horror Movies Ever Made

Which are the scariest horror movies ever made? The article will tell you about all the great horror films which you can watch on your weekend and make your day a thriller.Scariest Horror Movies Ever MadeThere are a lot of people who love watching horror and there's an equal number who hate it. For people who love thrill and horror, this article on scariest horror movies ever made is going to be a real treat. There's just something about horror movies, those chills in the night, those cold sweats, the feeling of not being alone in the room just kills you. So if you are planning to have a get together on a weekend with friends and you want to do something exciting, here's a list of the scariest horror movies ever made to watch.

Scariest Horror Movies Ever

What constitutes a scary horror movie? Scary music, lonely and dark backgrounds, an amazing story and the most important the main reason which makes this movie a scary film. Now, the reason can be anything; a curse, a monster, a serial killer or an alien. This main antagonist turns this whole film around and makes it more horrifying and often scares you out of your wits. So let's get ready to get those goosebumps, here are some of the scariest horror movies ever made.

The Exorcist
One of the scariest films ever made, The Exorcist gives horror new definition. This film maintains its suspense without getting too dependent on the amazing effects and make up. The Exorcist is scary on the whole, not just in bits and pieces. This is undoubtedly one of the most frightening films of all time.

Amityville Horror
This 1978 classic still scares me to death. The story begins with a family moving into a great big house in Amityville, New York. Then strange things begin to happen, black viscous matter comes from the toilet and holy men hear strange voices. Red eyes peer through the windows at night. Many people call it an Exorcist rip off, but it sure scared the hell out of many.

The Shining
I have never read a Stephen King novel, I don't know how great his work is. But I know that Stanley Kubrick did a great job making this movie. This movie still scares the hell out of me. Take any list of scary movies and you will find The Shining in the top 10 category. The story, the actor, the music, the hotel everything is scary about The Shining.

Se7en
I think it's Kevin Spacey's acting that makes Se7en a cult classic, but you just cannot ignore the brilliant performances of Brad Pitt, Morgan Freeman and Gwyneth Paltrow. Don't forget the scene in which the decomposed victim is still breathing and in the whole movie, not one scene of sunshine. This is true horror.

The Ring
It's rare that an American movie inspired from a Japanese film is worth watching, well The Ring is. Not only is it worth watching, it's also one of the scariest movies of all time. The entire story is focused upon a video tape that shouldn't be watched which makes it one of the scariest horror movies of the decade.

Psycho
This is the movie that started it all, the best work of Alfred Hitchcock Psycho came out in 1960 and since has been then been voted as one of the most scariest horror movies ever made. Even when animation and graphics were not yet discovered, Psycho still scared audiences worldwide.

Scariest Horror Movies Ever Made List

There's a long list of horror movies which you can catch up. Watch them anytime with people who can handle horror and screams. My advice, watch these movies at night. Silence of the Lambs (1991)Halloween (1978/2007)The Vanishing (1988)The Exorcist 3: The Legion (1990)Don't Look Now (1973)Jaws (1975)The Innocents (1961)The Others (2001)Rosemary's Baby (1968)The Omen (1976)The Haunting (1963)Ju On: The Grudge (2003) Watch the Japanese version firstThe Texas Chainsaw Massacre (1974)The Thing (1982)Night of the Living Dead (1968)Dracula (1931)Peeping Tom (1960)Last House on the Left (1962)Hope you've liked my choices of scariest horror movies ever made. Now most of you would want some more names to be added, so don't wait up. Start adding your favorite scary movies so even more readers can know. Charlie Sheen Sells Out Live Shows in Record Time

Charlie Sheen is embarking on some sort of live performance tour, with shows in Detroit and Chicago selling out in only 18 minutes.Charlie Sheen is slated to appear at the Detroit Fox Theater on April 2nd, then will follow up that show with another at the Chicago Theater on April 3rd. The tour was announced via Twitter on Thursday and tickets sold out for both shows in only 18 minutes once made available on Ticketmaster. The show is currently being advertised as "Charlie Sheen LIVE: My Violent Torpedo of Truth/Defeat is Not an Option". That certainly seems reasonable as the name of a live-performance show for the former star of Two and a Half Men.

It is entirely unclear at this point exactly what Sheen plans to provide in terms of entertainment. It's hard to imagine that he would be able to maintain a show-length rant without some sort of moderator or forum that would provide some structure. That said, Sheen may not even have a plan at this point. Selling out the live shows is just more validation that he is right, at least in his mind.

Given his penchant for strippers and adult film stars, Sheen could fill time in his show with any number of performances. At this point, people would probably be interested in simply sitting and listening to more of Sheen's articulate insanity - a one-man show devoted to all things "warlock".

Now that his ties with CBS have been officially terminated, Sheen is on his own to drive his celebrity and make his case. The issue he's facing now is that, with CBS out of the picture, it's going to be difficult for him to get people to be interested in anything other than his rants and public meltdowns. Just last week, he was a madman with a message and a cause. With the cause and the message likely being lost, Charlie may simply be mad.

50 Most Attractive Women Over 50

Today, we are giving 50 most attractive women over 50 a chance to show their bold and sizzling personalities a toast. With their "never back down" attitude, no wonder they are still some of the most desirable women...Women, regardless of what culture or country they hail from, have always been looked upon as the idol of beauty and poise. With her sensual grace and electrifying charm, she has made millions of heart melt in a second. I am talking about women all over the world who have, are, and will always be the epitome of beauty, confidence, self-esteem, and self-worth. But today we are not here to talk about the young Hollywood actresses or music artists who have always fascinated us with their bold moves. We are talking about women who are over 50 and can still steal our hearts (well, at least for men this is true) and leave us breathless. Gone are the days when 50 used to bring the old age. Today, women over the age of 50 are actually sidelining the current Hollywood actresses. But don't get me wrong here. These women are not just famous actresses over 50; some are famous personalities who are from around the world.

Top 50 Beautiful Women in the World

Even though the article asks me to list 50 most attractive women over 50, I really don't feel comfortable grading these wonderful, talented women into some category. Hence, without ranking them in order or giving them numbers, I have just provided an alphabetical list below. If I have left out any names of women whom you feel are attractive and should've been in this list, I apologize in advance and would love to hear your views. Till then, we'll stick to this list for now.

Noor Al-Hussein (Queen of Jordan)
See what I mean? There are many more 50 most attractive women over 50. But since the list can only let me include 50 at a time, I have made another list which includes more beautiful, famous women. Would you like to go over that list? Then what are we waiting for?

Honorable Mentions

Now the reason I am including another list is because as we are unique individuals, we have different likes and dislikes. If I have added a particular name in the top list and you don't agree with it, well, that's our individual choice, isn't it? But in all honesty, I really don't wish to leave out the names (which I am about to mention below) because I truly believe that even they deserve to be in the top 50 most attractive women over 50.

How about that list, huh? Some of the most gorgeous and quite frankly, (more than) 50 most attractive women over 50. We have seen them face and come out of many challenges and hardships, and seen them flourish in their respective fields. And something tells me, this isn't the end of it either.

How to Copy Wii Games to DVD

Owners of the Nintendo Wii know that using a disc for long hours can damage it, and so can improper handling of the disc. These original games are expensive, so it is advisable to make duplicates of the game and use the duplicate discs instead. How to Copy Wii Games to DVDThe Nintendo Wii game console is the most popular and best selling device in the video game console market. There are tons of great games that users can play, and the unique motion sensing controllers make this a highly enjoyable experience. Unfortunately, like all other video game consoles, these games come at a fairly high price. So if you own a large collection of best Wii games 2011, then you may want to consider creating back up discs of these games so that you can avoid using the originals as much as possible.

If you happen to damage a Wii game disc then you can be assured that the game will not work anymore. This will result in a massive loss for you if you are not careful with these discs, and replacing these discs is not a feasible option for everyone around. In order to avoid this scenario, you must learn how to copy Wii games to DVD so that you can use the back up disc instead.

Burn Wii Games on DVD

All the original discs come embedded with an encrypted copy protection software on them to prevent people from making duplicate copies. This is done in order to avoid piracy, which is a constant and ever increasing threat to this industry. This does not mean that you cannot achieve this purpose, but the point is that it is illegal, especially if you are distributing the copied games to people. Hence we strongly suggest that you create back up discs of Wii games only for your own personal use. We do not promote the distribution of copied and pirated games in any manner.

In the past, you needed a device known as a modchip in order to enable your Wii to read and recognize copied games, but this is not necessary anymore. The latest versions of HomeBrew software enables you to copy Wii games to DVDs with consummate ease. The process of enabling Wii consoles to read copied discs without the use of external hardware is known as 'softmodding' and this is something that anyone can learn easily today.

How to Backup Wii Games on DVD

So now the first thing that you need to do is find this software on the Internet, and then download and install it on your computer. Locating this software is as simple as it gets. The next thing you must do is insert the original Wii disc into your computer, and then simply copy it and burn it on to a blank DVD. The software that you have installed will take care of the decoding and the decrypting of the protection software on the original DVD, and you will then be able to burn it on a DVD like any other regular file.

Now the next thing that you will need to do is softmod your Wii console so that it can read the disc. There are many videos that you can find online that will show you how to do this, and it simple involves installing the latest Wii Unlock Hack on the console. Some people may also need to downgrade their firmware version on the Wii so that they can make use of this hack effectively. Once this has been done, you will be able to play all the content that you copied on the backup disc on the Wii with ease. The disc will function like an original disc, and you can thus protect the original from unwanted damage and scratches that come from overuse.

We would like to re-emphasize on the fact that distributing copied Wii games is illegal, and you can get into trouble for doing so. Make use of this method on how to copy Wii games to DVD only if you are sure that only you will be using the copied disc in your home for private use. If you are caught distributing illegal copies there will be consequences.

Top 10 Reality TV Shows

Looking for a list of the top 10 reality TV shows of all time? Aren't you the lucky one, for this article has everything you need? Take a look of our top-10 picks on shows that conquered the idiot box and how!Be that as it may, reality rules on Tee-Vee; not to diss the soap opera-type dramatic television that serves more and more scoops of fiction with each day passing by. Howbeit, it's astonishing. You think back to the yore days when one had their nose to grindstone from winning the heart of a handsome bachelor to minting enormous cash by sitting in a pool of termites for sixty seconds straightaway. Some shows unleashed the actuality of celebrities we adore, while some shows totally put a full stop to their career regardless. Some emerged as a Johnny-on-the-spot during the lows in global corruption, while some stayed there for a long time, representing what all was the reality genre capable of. From seducing hunks to modeling at a global level, from stepping into the filth to dealing with racism, from singing their life out to kicking heels up high, these immensely popular reality TV shows have had it all, and they are here to stay, whether or not you like it. A list of the top 10 reality TV shows ever is what I have for you, in this think-piece. Let the dispute begin.

Top 10 Reality TV Shows of All Time

All of them didn't fetch top rankings. But all of them promised a big transformation in the reality TV culture, and they did it. Their influence on global audience is insurmountable, for even if they languish from the tube, they are surely going to stay in our minds, no matter how many decades dawn. Following is my own list of reality TV shows, randomly mentioned. How shall they be ranked? You choose.

Survivor
Men fight men, men fight wild. Outwit. Outplay. Outlast. Quintessential survival-of-the-fittest game show, this one involves contestants being isolated in the wilderness, compete not only mentally but physically too, in order to win rewards and immunity from elimination. Loads of cash prices, and damn good challenges! The winner is, eventually, acclaimed as the 'Sole Survivor' of the show. A cascade of twenty-two seasons, this show ought to be one of the top 10 reality shows of the decade, what say?

American Idol
10 seasons? let me correct, 10 super-successful seasons, make it a must-watch. You know what's the biggest reason for watching this show? Every time you see a singer singing their heart out, you feel you could do better! American Idol gave away some of the most talented singers we have today, namely, Kelly Clarkson, Carrie Underwood, Kris Allen, Taylor Hicks, David Cook, etc. Think you can sing better than them? Break away to the next auditions!

Big Brother
A large house. A few celebrities. Continuously watched by television cameras. No phones. No friends. Weirdest of daily tasks. Lots of money. I think, Big Brother is 'Survivor' in disguise for those who enjoy less filth in life. However, to audience's surprise, there's much more filth happening inside. Yeah, it may be scripted. But who's to judge? Unless it's entertaining, you will see it. America awaits Season 13 of this monster of a reality show, and if, in any case, you happen to think you could stay in that madhouse, think again, for the Big Brother is watching you!

The Bachelor
So, you think you're a femme fatale who has this innate 'talent' of wooing all guys around, innit? Have you ever tried watching The Bachelor? Dude, winning heart of the opposite sex has always had its share of dire straits. That's what you broadcast on TV, on a larger scale, this time, a tad bit difficult. Why? Because you aren't the only one to fight for the 'fish'! In this 15-seasons old reality treatise, 25 women, wait a minute, 25 drop-dead-gorgeous women trash their past lives to stay in a house, and compete for the attention, and later on love, if there exists a bit, of a handsome - gasp - hunk. Tell me now, wanna try your tactics over this one?

America's Next Top Model
Women viewers loved the enviable makeovers, and men loved women having enviable makeovers? if you know what I mean! America's Next Top Model, or ANTM as they call it, has topped the US charts with beautiful women aspiring to become America's next top model every new season. 16 cycles hit the floor, while they're casting for the seventeenth. Think of it, why would you want to miss world's leading fashion editors, photographers, agency reps, and supermodels themselves judging the girls, sending those non-deserving back home, and providing that big leap to the one contestant who makes your heart melt with her beauty, and steals the show with a desirable attitude?

The Biggest Loser
Would you lose if you were paid big bucks? Some will, and some won't. However, this show, the Biggest Loser, involves losing of your weight in order to win, I'm sure all you plus-size folks out there wouldn't want to miss a chance, or would you? The Biggest Loser has chronicled the pursuit of plus size contestants to drop pounds, and end up winning more than two million dollars, now that is one hell of a reality show where you see nothing else but Reality! Professional trainers, nutritionists, and world dietitians have helped the overweight lose as much as 140 pounds during the show. Now, does that instigate to lose in order to win?

The Amazing Race
Adrenaline junkies love this race that involve many groups of two people teamed up to race around the world winning competitions. Hey, if you think it's just a car race? hello! Name a vehicle, and they have it for you to race in. Planes, helicopters, trucks, taxis, trains, buses, balloons (?), boats, bicycles, and if that's not it, be ready to race barefooted! The Amazing Race represents an unfinished business which is to be completed at the earliest. And the number of successful seasons? 18 races, and still running successfully!

Fear Factor
There do exist people who savor racing against the cheetah, talking to the wildest monkeys, jumping down from 30,000 feet, and eating the weirdest of insects, and this show, Fear Factor, is for them. It took it just 6 seasons to become people's favorite. Contestants from all over the world compete by doing mind-boggling stunts in the nick of time, and as the saying goes, the early bird gets the cheese, the contestant who finishes the earliest, or in most cases, who finishes, wins. Thus and so. No matter how much you dread crawling lizards on your body or rolling snakes with your hands? every fear in this show is a big factor, responsible for your victory.

So You Think You Can Dance
So, you think you can dance? And dance well? And dance like them? Highly unlikely, for this show, because of its tremendous talent, emerged as one of the top 10 reality TV shows of the decade. It was just 7 seasons ago that a show was broadcast, representing phenomenal dancing talent, virtuosos in all genres of dancing, and cutting-edge choreographers doing their best work. Today, this show is soon going to begin shooting its 8th season from October. To see some mind-boggling dance steps, and out-of-the-world performances, this is the best TV show ever, really.

The Hills
There are shows for entertainment, and then, there are shows only to redefine reality TV. The Hills, in its journey of 6 seasons, followed the personal lives of several youngsters, and eventually, was ranked at the 82nd position amongst the 100 Best Shows of the Last 25 Years by Entertainment Weekly. The Hills depicted the personal life of the former Laguna Beach beauty Lauren Conrad and the new lives of her friends in LA.
