While it?s unlikely that Sheen will work in television or film again unless he gets his act together, he seems oblivious to that fact, or perhaps he doesn?t care because he certainly does not need the money. Sheen was let go from his role due to a "moral turpitude" clause in his contract, and if there is a judge in the world who would not side with CBS on this particular matter, then he (or she) should be institutionalized right along with Sheen himself.
Asked if a lawsuit was in the works to fight the action, Sheen noted via text message, "Biggest ever." He also claimed to be "free" after hearing the news that he was being let go, though it doesn?t truly appear as though he suffered from his role on the television show, which made him the highest-paid television actor in the world. In the letter dismissing Sheen, CBS wrote, "Mr. Sheen has committed felony offenses involving moral turpitude ? including but not limited to furnishing of cocaine to others as part of the self-destructive lifestyle he has described publicly." Among other admissions, Sheen noted in a television interview that he had been "banging 7-gram rocks" of cocaine. Seems like a pretty open and shut case, should Sheen actually choose to file suit.
